COVID-19 and HFC Productions Events

HFC Productions is using current information from governing bodies to ensure our events, attendees, and staff are as safe as possible.

 

 

We will keep all parties informed as the situation evolves and new information comes available.

 

What are we doing about it?

 

 

GROWING SUMMIT - Tentatively rescheduled to August 24th & 25th

 

  • Hiring a Manager of Sanitation to deliver on extra sanitation protocols that go above and beyond standard venue services

  • Renting more venue space to increase social distancing

  • Providing silicon tips from Moose Labs to prevent sharing of smoking paraphernalia

  • Providing live streaming, podcasting, and viewable online recordings for guests who are unable to attend the event in person

  • Offering more Chef stations and/or plated meals in place of full buffets (some meals with remain buffet style)

  • Following guidelines from the resources listed below

The situation will be monitored and a plan will be put in place closer to the event date, and will be updated in this blog post at a later date.

While we monitor the evolving situation in Canada and internationally, HFC Productions Inc. is working closely with affiliated partners, exhibitors, and venues to ensure we are implementing any additional safety requirements to the best of our ability. We kindly ask for your patience as we identify and implement best practices during these extraordinary circumstances. 

 

We will work with you to develop a contingency plan to either enable your participation from afar or to process a cancellation. We encourage flexible travel arrangements and early inquiries about cancellations and refund policies.

 

**COVID-19 Cancellation Policy (for sick or high-risk individuals only)

  • 35% credit with HFC Productions Inc. on delegate passes. Includes access to content through live stream and podcasting

  • 35% credit with HFC Productions Inc. on exhibitor purchases if cancelled up to 10 business days before the start of the event (Includes access to content through live stream or podcasting). We will also honor all existing exhibitor offers, besides your physical presence, if you wish.

  • If the situation evolves and requires an event postponement, we will hold 100% of the money in trust for the new date, or refund up to 80% of your full purchase if you wish. Deadlines will be instate if this situation arrives.

Event updates will be communicated as soon as possible through email and the Hempfest Canada website. We are monitoring advice from the Provincial & National bodies and the WHO.
